Power Block does the trick. Fortunately ol' Willa doesn't have great armour, so with all the healing skills knocked out, even for half the normal duration, she's quite easy to drop.

Yep, for me it was Droajam Mage of the Sands for sandstorm. Of course, i found out The Drought had it and gave up on him lol.

Maw the Mountain Heart, because of the long run in.

It was ages ago, I was capping elites for Legendary Survivor, I only had prophecies so was running a sub-par fire ele build, and obviously I had no heroes then.

It took more than an hour to fight from Camp Rankor, and when you're going for survivor every moment is tense. I had gotten to the hill just below where Maw spawns. I didn't like the look of the Ettin mobs so I thought I'd sneak into a tiny lip to right to have a closer look which still out of their aggro, or so I thought. It was then 6-8 of them charged. There was no time to get out of the lip. The constant interrupts ripped through us and most of my henchmen were dead before the Ettins took a single casualty. I logged out because I'd already lost a bunch of survivors in surprise attacks before (logging out was still still feasible in the days before reconnects), kicking myself for being stupid enough to move into a dead-end and for wasting all that time. It was 3am so even though I was mad as a frog in a sock it was too late to try again.

I went back the next day and kicked all their assess. I took a screenshot which I used as a screensaver; this only proved to my girlfriend what a geek I was.

Apologies for the ramblings, but that was the best day ever I had in GW.

PS I just had a look at the build again; seriously nubcake, no wonder it took me 2 hours to get there!

Prophecies Bosses.

It took me longer than even capping FoC from Maw to get THUNDERCLAP, as i was insanely unlucky and the guy never spawned. (Fire Island). Could have done THK and it would probably have been faster.

As many have said, I don't find any boss incredibly difficult, just time consuming. The most time consuming being Tyrian bosses with random spawns. My Mineral Springs caps took forever because the boss would always be in the last place I get to or at the spawn point farthest from the entrance to the zone. My Abaddon's Mouth caps weren't time consuming at all; nearly all the bosses spawned on the first try through the mission. I only had to redo the mission once to get a cap. The most annoying for me personally are the Mursaat/Jade bosses though. They always spawn for me near the end of a mission or a good ways into it, so mostly I went looking for them in Ice Floe. Of course, they'd spawn way away from any of the entrances to Ice Floe. I only went into a mission to cap a Mursaat/Jade skill, into RoF to cap the mes elite. The boss spawns at the final fight, but I figure it'll be fine if I just take the boss out first before the rest of the group. I even lock my heroes' target as the boss and am constantly ctrl+spacebaring to call it. Ofc, all the henches AND my heroes target the weaker enemies first anyway, and I dont get the cap. I used a nec tome to get FoC because I didn't feel like taking the time to travel all the way up to dreadnought's drift.

Only other hard caps were in NF. Healer's Boon boss in Resplendent Makuun because of the group he spawns with. Whole team (heroes+henchies+me) was at 30-45% dp before I managed to get Devona to tank the agro and kill the group. Sandstorm from The Drought was time consuming for my ele because you have to kill it before the other two elementals with him and cap his elite, aka, I had to drop all aoe+MM (QQ). Got it on the third try though.

Mungri Magicbox wasn't that difficult with a bha hero on him and rest of the team killing the other monk in the group. The Construct bosses weren't hard in the explorable area, just had to be hella careful about agro. Everything else in Factions and NF wasn't very difficult or time consuming.

#1-Maw The Mountain Heart, Feast of Corruption: Only boss with this elite and seriuosly he spawns in 6 differant maps! all random and he's a ground wurm meaning he pops out of the ground so you never know where he is and if he does come at you, you probably will not have a cap sig handy.
Lol dude i so agree. I actually capped this skill when henchmen AI wasn't that good and you actually had to use the cap after the boss uses his elite. Man that sucked

Maw is pretty easy, he always spawns in dreadnought's drift, get a hench party and fight through snake dance (its only trolls, giants and stone summit, nothing a hench party can't handle.)

really? I thought that Magicbox Dredge boss was rlly easy to kill. Personally I think all Dredges are farley easy to kill, except for the ones in Sorrow's Furnace (they seem alittile harder). A monk boss I had a super hard time with was those effing Mursaat boss, holy sht will they not die?

The most annoying boss elite cap I remember was teh guy who drops Echo in the fire islands. No heros back then, and a random spawn. Well, really, any boss on the fire island in Tyria. All random spawns, and annoying creatures with annoying builds all over the place.

Single boss wise - I say the one with sandstorm at poison outcrop.

But generally Prophecies boss are the most irritating for legendary skill hunter title. Imagine 5x Mineral Springs, 5x Hell Precipice, 5x Abaddon Mouth etc... And the boss I want to cap always turn out to be at the furthest location.

Power Block what? Willa has 4 skills and Spectral Agony. 2 Divine Favor, 1 Healing, and 1 Protection. Power Block the elite and you remove the CoP factor. However, Orison heals for a LOT even with no Aura of Faith on. Bosses have reduced hex/condition duration, so even with no CoP to remove them, they don't last long.

I can kill Willa no problem, but it takes a long time, even when I interrupt Orison with Distracting Shot.

Tarnen the Bully is also a tough one. Mainly because he has 2 Monks and some other warriors and sins with him. With all the knockdowns and Disrupting Stabs, casters are pressed hard.

Maw the mountain heart is where Jesus lost his sandal and getting there is a Max Payne. Other than that killing him is easy.

The others that where annoying to cap for me where the Acolyte of Balthazar and Droajam, Mage of the Sands.

Yeah I did Proph skill hunter in about 2 days, however, mineral springs seems a lot easier then it used to be way back when.. that and I got lucky with spawns. Everything else was cake.

And hardest cap..

For me it was Broad Head Arrow from the Afflicted Huan in the Vizunah Square mission. I went through that mission 11 TIMES before that bastard finally spawned. Looking back on it, in the time it took do do that I probably could've played my way down to the Boreas Seabed mission and gotten it from Daemon.

Good times.

Mungri Magicbox.
Some of the Dervish Avatars.

Just getting Legendary Skill Hunter is an achievement. I had to do it twice, to unlock all elites on two accounts.

Or from Sunjiang Explorable, iirc the boss spawns right along the path out of the city (I'm pretty sure all the Afflicted bosses spawn outside of missions somewhere)...

I have yet to cap Obsidian flesh. Although now I've grown close to Maxine, having visited her over 20 times.
